One Back Zebra (OBZ) is Portland’s premiere physical infrastructure auditor and workplace preparedness seminar provider. What makes us unique is the emphasis we put on preemption. We believe there is much that can be done before a troubled coworker or unwanted visitor resorts to violence.
One Back Zebra offers five distinct services:
Physical infrastructure audits
Workplace preparedness seminars
Review and development of workplace violence SOPs
On-line Safety Education
Safety branding with the "Safety Zebra"
OBZ's state-of-the-art preemption strategies are based on the research of leading PhD psychologists and OBZ educators are the top active emergency responders in the industry.
The paramount goal during an OBZ seminar is to raise any given workforce's capacity to be more situationally aware and work together as a team when confronted by adversity.
The OneBack safety acronym is your blueprint to survive adversity: Observe, Notify, Evacuate, Barricade, Act, Care and Keep.
Why the Zebra? During a service trip to Africa in 2014 our founders were forced to protect the children traveling with them from threats most parents never have to think about.
During their journey they learned that zebras have the unique capacity to warn each other before a potential threat becomes lethal one. They returned to their beloved city of Portland with a desire to raise everyone's situational awareness so that we can work together to make our workplaces and community as safe as possible.
